We are pleased to announce that we have received notification from MERLIN CEO Charles Caldas that MERLIN Membership Documents are now available for AIRCO Members.

 

Attached are three documents for your attention:

1. The Merlin Membership Agreement Guidance Note
2. The Merlin Application Form ,
3. The Merlin Membership Agreement.

The Guidance Note (1.) provides information on Merlin, its scope and remit and its membership criteria and includes a detailed explanation of the membership agreement.

The Application Form (2.) and Membership Agreement (3.) must be filled in and signed by an authorised signatory of the member's company.

Completed forms and signed agreements must be returned to Merlin in one of the following three ways:

1. Digital Signature – Please follow this link and the instructions on our website to fill in the application form and digitally sign the membership agreement, which will be automatically copied to you via e-mail. 
2. Print, Sign, Scan and return via PDF to Leah Webb on This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
3. Print, Sign and fax to + 44 207 183 2445.

 If you are using either method 2 or 3 and physically signing the agreement, please note the following:

1. please fill in (by hand) details of your company name, address, the authorised representative signing the agreement and your email address for notices at the head of the document;
2. the authorised representative signing the agreement should initial each page of the agreement; and
3. please leave the document undated.

 

AIRCO urges all Members (and indeed all independent music owners in South Africa, across the African continent, and around the world) to join MERLIN and assist this noble and global initiative to level the playing field for the Independents. The more mandate MERLIN has, the more it can deliver. And the more South African content represented by MERLIN, the greater our proportionate share of revenues generated will be.
