All South African record companies and owners of recorded music are hereby cordially invited to submit Original Music and Video titles for inclusion in the 2010 South African Midem Sampler.

The Skills Development Portfolio of the Association Of Independent Record Companies presents a one-day workshop which will focus on music business for independent record labels and music entrepreneurship. A series of seminars will cover strategies for the business, legal, and technological issues affecting record companies and music publishing.

WELCOME
Welcome to all our members, distinguished guests and funders, the Department of Arts and Culture, and my fellow board members.

South Africa will be the Country of Honour for its 2010 edition. The country focus is organised in partnership with the South African Department of Artus and Culture and will inaugurate a year of events promoting South African culture worldwide, culminating in its hosting of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in June and July 2010. The 44th Midem will be held from 24 – 27 January.
