AIRCO is a non profit national industry association proactively serving and representing the interests and development of South African independent music companies both within South Africa and across the world. As such it is of benefit to all independent record companies in South Africa, as it represents the interests, concerns and difficulties that are specific to independent labels. In many cases, as an independent record label in South Africa, AIRCO is your only voice in the negotiations defining important concerns such as Needletime, local content quotas, and Government’s policy on music.

- A powerful voice lobbying on your behalf at Government, broadcasters, ICASA, mobile and digital distributors, new media companies, and other areas of the music business where the rights and concerns of the Independents needs to be represented in order to ensure fair trade. AIRCO is currently deeply involved in negotiations with regards Needletime, Local Content Quotas, Music Video Royalties and other issues to ensure fairest representation and the best deal for members.
