The Airco board hereby announces its acceptance of the resignation of Mr. Eugene Mthethwa as it Chairperson with effect from 24 June 2008. Eugene will be concentrating on other engagements within the industry.

 

Eugene was a member of the inaugural board of Airco (The Association of Independent Record Companies) , and was subsequently elected the Chairperson of our board in October 2007. He championed the transformation agenda of the organisation whilst serving as the Chairperson, and served on various South African music industry bodies until his resignation.

The Airco board, on behalf of our members, would like to extend our gratitude to Eugene’s selfless service during his tenure as a board member and Chairperson, and we wish him well in all his future endeavours.

It is our pleasure to announce the election of our Vice-Chairperson, Ms Antos Stella, as the new Chairperson to lead our organisation until our next board meeting in September 2008. We wish Antos all the best in her leadership during these challenging times in our industry.
