WANTED: Theme song for Splashy Fen!
The organisers of SA’s longest running music festival are looking for the ‘Ultimate Song’ to capture the spirit of the ‘Ultimate Outdoors Experience’.

Why?
Because we want something special to drive the 20th Anniversary Splashy Fen Celebrations planned for 2009!

What we’re after is a previously unreleased, acoustic-driven song that’s radio friendly and no more than three-and-a-half minutes long: it can represent any genre of music, which means that the competition is open to everyone.

REWARD - R30 000 in prizes!

  • The winning song will be re-recorded at Face Studios in Westville and released in time for Splashy Fen 2008.
  • Design, artwork and multimedia enhancements will be sponsored by Kablooey Studios.
  • A music video of the song will be filmed at Splashy Fen 2008.
  • The artist or group performing the winning song will also receive:
  1. Free website hosting by SAI Futurenet.
  2. A Yamaha jumbo body acoustic guitar (CPX500) with built in pick up and tuner sponsored by Yamaha & Music Inc.
  3. A slot on the main stage at Splashy Fen 2008.
  4. A year of airplay and print-media coverage as we build up and count down to our deluxe 20th Anniversary edition of the Splashy Fen Music Festival.
Submissions (on CD) must reach us no later than Friday, 8 February 2008 and can be sent to the following postal address:
