With judges like Tom Waits, Ray Davies (The Kinks), Chaka Khan and Loretta Lynn, and industry executives like Amy Doyle (Sr. VP of Music and Talent at MTV), ISC's International Songwriting Competition continues to raise the bar for international songwriters. ISC 2009 is once again calling for South African talent to go global.

 

This year, the  International Songwriting Competition (ISC) has more than $150,000 in cash and prizes to be shared among the 62 winners in 20 categories - including an overall Grand Prize of $25,000 (US) cash and $20,000 in prizes.

 

ISC accepts original songs from musicians, artists, bands, and songwriters at every level - from amateur to professional.

 

ISC has the most international winners of any major songwriting or music contest. Approximately 50% of all ISC winners come from outside the USA.

 

South African's are encouraged to enter. Last year 3 South African acts were nominated as finalists in different Categories.
